Another month has come and gone, for me, January is the perfect time to find some new favourites and be re-acquainted with some old ones. So, at the start of January, I did a little shopping and bought a few things that I have never heard anyone speak about in order to have a little experimenting fun and possibly find some new gems to spread the love on. Of course I went back to some of my old things, but In January, money is a little tight so it is inevitable to shop your own stash!
An old love is the Nars Blush in Orgasm, it is just so pretty to look at and in this grey and grim weather, it is just the perfect product to bring some life and some glow into those cheeks! It lasts all day and it is acceptable to wear a little shimmer shimmer at the moment because there is no harsh sunlight shining on our faces, which can sometimes make shimmery cheek products look a little over the top! To pair with the blush, I have been absolutely loving my Clarins Light Natural Lip Perfector in 01 because it gives my lips a hint of pink and keeps them nourished and glossy and looking juicy!
I have had two drug store loves this month and one is something I haven’t heard of before so I was eager to try is when I saw it on the shelves of Boots. It is the Soap and Glory Hocus Focus Instant Visual Flaw Softening Illuminator, what a mouthful! Now, I am not sure about the flaw softening aspect of this product but it gives the skin such a beautiful glow that is not too much yet not too little and I love me some highlighter. I have been loving dabbing this on the high points of my face or simply mixing in with my foundation if my skin is looking a little on the dull side! The next budget product I have been loving is the Revlon Nail Polish in Cherries In The Snow. It is what I have had on my nails practically all month and this is coming from a girl who loves to change up the colour of her polish! This is the perfect transitional colour because it is not a vampy winter shade but yet not a bright spring/summer colour, just a perfect purple/pink/red colour, if you can imagine such a thing!
The REN Evercalm Gentle Cleansing Milk had been a must have for me this month, it is a new discovery but one I have already purchased a back up of because it makes my skin feel so soft and cleansed and no tight feeling what so ever. It is just so comfortable to use and is just the perfect product for my second cleanse and also for my morning cleanse because it leaves no film or greasy feeling. It is as the name would suggest, a really calming product to use on the skin so it would be perfect for those with sensitive skins but also for dry skins such as mine!
