Let’s Talk About Waterproof Mascara

Some people can’t live with it, others just can’t live without it. So what is the deal with waterproof mascara? There are lots of pros and cons when it comes to waterproof mascara and it really is all about personal preference, but if you have not given it a proper chance, this may just change your mind!

If you find that you curl your lashes but they droop as soon as you apply your mascara, then listen up, waterproof mascara is the answer to your prayers because it really does hold a curl in place and makes those stubborn straight eyelashes do as they are told! This is the reason that I wear waterproof mascara and it has honestly changed the way my makeup looks because my eyes just look so much more bright and awake when the curl is held in place.

For all of you oily eyelid-ed girls, waterproof mascara may be the way forward because it is smudge-proof, sweat-proof, hot Summer’s day-proof, overall a saviour if you are prone to those dreaded panda eyes! Even if you don’t have especially oily eyelids but want something that is going to stay in place on holiday or just a long day in general, waterproof mascara will guarantee you a smudge free experience and last all day!

The main reason that people hate waterproof mascara is because they feel as though they have to scrub at their eyes for hours to get it off, the very reason I never used it after one bad experience which involved very red and sore eyes, ouch! However, when I found the Clarins Instant Eye Makeup Remover, everything changed because this really does make taking off your waterproof mascara so effortless and easy and I went through a bottle of the stuff in no time. I have since then found I cheaper alternative and I have to say that I love it just as much as the Clarins offering, so have been repurchasing this one instead as it is that much cheaper, the product in question is the Vichy Purete Thermale Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover. I have a sneaky suspicion that your opinions of waterproof mascara may change if you suffer from any mascara mishaps just mentioned and if you try one of these removers!

Do you prefer waterproof or non-waterproof mascara?

  1. I tend to avoid waterproof mascara as it is so difficult to remove so thanks for posting your recommended eye-make up removers, and the reasons why I should buy waterproof mascara!
