Crazy For Coral

There is just something about coral isn’t there? Not quite red and not quite pink. with the ability to perk your complexion up and make it look as though you are more tanned and healthy looking than you are, a miracle indeed. Whether on the nails or on the lips, opting for coral is a winner if you want to turn some heads come Summer time.

When it’s time for the sandles to come out, it is imperative that those little tootsies are in tip top condition. Wearing coral on those toes makes your feet look polished and put together and the Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine in Passion Fruit is a great choice because the gel like finish of these polishes with make your toes look professionally pedicured and the colour is really vibrant which will make you want to wear sandles every day, even if it is raining (which is most days). The Revlon Nail Enamel in One Perfect Coral is one that I have repurchased many times because it is a truly stunning and classic shade of coral, a tad more orange than the Barry M offering so it will look just perfect with a Summer tan. Topshop nail varnishes obviously have to feature also because they are simply super, so if you are a coral lover and haven’t got Warpaint hidden in your stash somewhere, then add it to your shopping list this instant!

If you have gone for coral on the nails, why stop there when there are so many coral lip products on offer, so your lips and tips can match! In a recent sweep in Boots, I picked up this Max Factor Colour Elixir Lipstick in Bewitching Coral and it is such a gorgeous pinky coral that immediately brightens up the face. This a pigmented lipstick that gives you a really intense colour without being drying, one to pick up next time you are in Boots, me thinks. A lipstick which is pretty similar in colour but gives a more intense shine is MAC’s Sheen Supreme Lipstick in Full Speed, these lipsticks are so moisturising and creamy that they are perfect if you still want to wear a pop of colour even when your lips are a tad on the dry side because they just glide right on. Sometimes a subtle slick of colour makes a nice change to wearing a bold lipstick and MAC’s Dazzleglass in Smile is just the ticket for that occasion! Warning, if you don’t like sticky lipsticks then stay away from this product, I repeat, stay away because man it is sticky! But me? I can deal with a bit of stickiness if the colour is this nice! This lipgloss is the perfect shimmering coral peach that is just stunning for the Summer time.

What is your favourite coral product?
