A Sunday Skin Detox

Sundays are for one thing and one thing only: pampering. But what is a day of pampering without those all important face masks? Giving your skin a treat with a detoxifying face mask is just the ticket to make you feel shiny and new for the week ahead!

Starting with my personal favourite of the bunch, which is the most expensive surprise surprise, the GlamGlow Supermud Clearing Treatment. The thing I love the most about this mask is that you notice a difference as soon as you rinse it off! If having really smooth skin, I’m talking baby butt smooth, significantly reduced pores and spots that get the message that they are not wanted is what you look for in a face mask, then this mask is 100% worth the painful price tag, in my opinion.

Sadly I have finished that little tub of magic so for now I am using the next best thing: the Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask. I will admit that the results aren’t as instant as the mask previously mentioned, but over time this has definitely helped to keep my skin clearer so it is a really good one to incorporate into your routine if you are consistent with it. Origins also do mini sizes of a lot of their products, so if your aren’t sure whether you want to commit to buying the full size then that is a perfect way of trying it out.

The Soap and Glory No Clogs Allowed is the top budget option because it doubles up as an exfoliator and, wait for it…it’s self-heating, say what?! When you apply this mask it is a light blue colour and you dampen it as you work it into the skin and you can feel it heating up, can you get any more pampering than that? After keeping this mask on for a brief five minutes you rinse it off and while doing so it exfoilates your skin! Again, the results aren’t as dramatic as the other masks but it is a nice option to use a couple of times a week to keep your skin looking fresh and radiant.

What are your favourite face masks for a Sunday skin detox?
